Step 1: Log in to YMCS

  • Visit ymcs.yealink.com and log in with your provided credentials.
  • If you don't have an account, request access from your supervisor or IT manager.

Step 2: Adding a New Device

  • After logging in, navigate to Devices on the left panel.
  • Click on Add Device.
  • Enter the MAC address of the Yealink phone you want to provision. The MAC address can usually be found on the label at the back of the handset or in the handset’s menu under settings.

Step 3: Configure the Provisioning Settings

  • Select the device you added, then click on Configuration.
  • Choose a Profile Template that matches the settings your VoIP system requires (e.g., SIP server, extension number, password).
  • If needed, customize the settings, such as time zone, display name, or ring tones, under the Advanced Settings.

Step 4: Apply Configuration to the Device

  • After configuring, click Save and then Apply to push the configuration to the phone.
  • The phone will reboot, and the new settings will take effect once it reconnects to the network.

Step 5: Monitoring Device Status

  • In the Devices section, you can monitor the phone's status, including whether it's online, registered, and running on the correct firmware.

Troubleshooting:

  • If the device doesn’t register, ensure the MAC address is correct, and there’s proper network connectivity.
  • Check for error logs in YMCS for more detailed troubleshooting.
